Big letters: "Free hugs" it read.
On both front and back.

I followed this kid
up the old escalator.
I climbed to his step.

"How much are hugs, man?"
"Huh?" He blinked, confused. Then, snap!
"Oh! They're free! All right!"

We hugged each other,
less awkwardly than you'd think.
Temporary friends.
